Sunday April 7th

We wanted to be at Costco in the morning at 10 AM, as we need to get a replacement tire for the shredded tire from the day before. There was no way I was going to drive on the highway again without having a good spare. After some deliberation, finding out that the present cheap tires the car manufacturers always put on the car initially to keep the costs down, were about 1/2 tread, and realizing that buying another tire would not match those we had on the car, we decided to replace all 4, and keep the nearly new previous spare as the spare. The other advantage is that there was $70 off if you bought all 4. Then we had nothing to worry about.

We were all done and on the road with 4 new tires by 11:30, but that took a good chunk out of our travel time. Lucky that we had decided to drive only to the Oklahoma border and stay at the gigantic Winstar Casino Hotel. We arrived right around 7 PM and got our room. From the road the Casino looks huge, but there is no way to realize how huge it really is until you are actually in it. To get from one end to the other really requires the shuttle bus, that's how large it is. Once we got settled, we started to play.

We found the slots 6000 of them, were on the tight side. Hahahah...aren't all slots on the tight side? At any rate we persisted, and between Katie winning and me not losing we ended up $400 net profit. Nice!

We were keeping an eye on the weather, due to winter storms developing which did not look good, and we had thought as an option we might stay two nights. We played until midnight and then went to bed.

and so ends another good day, but last day in the valley...

more later...
