We were on the road by 8AM this morning, and the 75 miles of two lane highway we drive every year was very good, as there was not much traffic being Saturday, and also due to the fact that is was early. After that, the drive was really good, and Katie drove a couple of hours on the Kansas turnpike to give me a break.
We went right past the Kickapoo Casino where often we stop for an hour or so, but it was still pretty early and after last night, we did not feel the need.
Still suffering the effects of the pinched nerve but describe it like a tooth ache.
Katie just had fruit from the hotel breakfast, while I still had half a sub from yesterday. Good part is, that we did not have to stop for fast food, i.e. hamburgers and fries, as in previous years.
Katie is still going to juice as least for breakfast when we get to the trailer.
Got to Denton at 6PM, settled in, and went to one of our favorite places...Rudy's BBQ...where we each had a smoked turkey sandwich and potato salad...SO GOOD!
Then back to the great Best Western Premier, and the fabulous room for relaxation and some TV.
Up early in the morning between 6 and 7 to have breakfast and hit the road.
Nice! We will be in Pharr this afternoon and get to see all our friends! We are really looking forward to seeing them.
