Saturday March 9th

Katie and I went to the driving range in the morning, as it has been quite some time since we hit a ball. Not too bad considering.

In the afternoon we had a tee time for 1:28 at Tierra Del Sol which is right next door and virtually attached to the park. We just had to pay a trail fee for our cart. We both played not too bad mostly, but it shows having not played for awhile.

After 9 holes it became obvious to me that the batteries in the cart were not going to hold up for another 9 holes. It is not good to run them right down, so we left the cart at the club house and rented one of theirs for the back 9. Because we had already paid trail fees for 18, it only cost us another $7.00 which was good.

It was an extremely windy day, but we persevered, and still had a good time with our friends Bonnie and Al.

The cart still had enough juice to get us home, but it would not be enough for 18 holes. This will necessitate getting new batteries, 6 of them, but that can be expected when buying a used battery driven golf cart.

We were hot and sticky so after a refreshing shower we headed back to Bonnie and Al's, where Bonnie had prepared a nice supper for us. It was very enjoyable, and after a nice rum and coke, and some wine, we settled in for some fun conversation and plenty of laughs. It was a fun evening.

Then home to relax a bit, turn the clocks ahead, and get some shut eye.

and so ends another great day in the valley...

more later...
